Oh yes, the world is about to go mad for pancakes…but we think they are awesome any day, especially now that WayfairUK found us the best pancake pan ever to play with – it really does make you go WOW! Saturday in our house was wonderful.
The Stonewell double hinged pancake pan is brilliant. We were all really enthused by how easily and neatly it makes pancakes. You don’t need fat, as it has a lovely non stick coating. Flipping them is so easy.
I must warn you, the instructions warn you to let it cool before washing, which I overlooked. As a result the handle snapped. I was gutted, but we loved this so much I ordered another one immediately, it arrived a day later, and won’t be making the same mistake.
200g plain flour, 2 eggs, 3/4 pint of half milk and had water, pinch salt and sugar, tsp oil.
Whisk all the ingredients in a blender or with a pancake whisk or electrical beater and leave to rest in the fridge for at least 30 mins.
Add the blueberries to the batter once in the pan. When you cut into them the warm juice oozes all over the pancake. Tastes amazing!
1 banana, 2 eggs, dash of vanilla essence if desired
Mix in a blender, cook on a much lower heat than traditional pancakes, and unlike traditional pancakes, may need a bit of gentle nudging with a spatula to keep it from sticking.
