Apart from being a fellow greyhound owner, this week’s Through The Keyhole also has wonderful taste in calming and comforting interiors, and uses colour to great effect.
Make Hearts Feature, Be Comfortable
I love my home and the important thing for me is for it to be comfortable.
The bronze sculpture was bought in a local art gallery, I just loved the look of it.
The wall of hearts in my bedroom came about because I had so many heart ornaments around the house, I thought it would be nice to make a feature of them.
I love my garden and spend a lot of time out there trying to keep it tidy, we came to this house 3 years ago so the landscaping and hard work had already been done – I’m just trying to keep it looking good and planting some of my favourites – particularly dahlias and roses.
I started collecting the Ladybird books a few years ago when I noticed a couple on eBay, I love the illustrations in them.
I immediately feel comfortable just looking at this house. A house full of books and hearts balanced by lovely calming blues and rejuvenating teal, and it is full of promise too, ‘the world is your oyster.
